Discover A Fresh Start in the New Year

Welcome to CityView Church Alvin, a place where you can find hope, inspiration, and a sense of community. As we approach the celebration of Día de Año Nuevo (New Year's Day), we invite you to join us for a special service centered around Isaiah 43:1-25. This powerful scripture reminds us of God's promises and the new beginnings He offers to each one of us.

Embracing God's Promises

In Isaiah 43:1-25, God speaks to His people, reassuring them of His unwavering love and faithfulness. It is a passage filled with hope, grace, and the call to leave the past behind and embrace a fresh start in the new year.

A Promise of Redemption

Isaiah 43:1-3 declares, "But now, this is what the LORD says - he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.'" These verses remind us that no matter what challenges or trials we may face, God is always with us, ready to redeem and deliver us from any situation.

Letting Go of the Past

In Isaiah 43:18-19, God says, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." As we step into the new year, it is essential to leave behind any past mistakes, regrets, or failures. God calls us to embrace His new thing, the fresh start He has in store for each one of us.

Walking in His Promises

Throughout Isaiah 43:1-25, God reassures His people of His faithfulness and His desire to bless them abundantly. "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." While we may carry our past mistakes, God chooses to forget them. He extends His grace, promising forgiveness and a future filled with His blessings.
