About CityView Church Alvin

Welcome to CityView Church Alvin, a vibrant community dedicated to fostering strong faith and building a loving community. We are a church that believes in the power of God to transform lives and impact society. Our mission is to share the message of God's love, forgiveness, and hope with the world, and to provide a welcoming environment for individuals and families to grow spiritually.

Our Core Beliefs

At CityView Church Alvin, we hold firmly to the following core beliefs:

1. The Bible as the Inspired Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, containing all necessary guidance for spiritual growth and living a fulfilling life. Through studying the scriptures, we gain wisdom, understanding, and direction for our lives.

2. The Trinity

We believe in the Trinity, which consists of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We recognize and worship only one God, who exists eternally in three persons.

3. Salvation through Jesus Christ

We believe that salvation is found through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, He paid the price for our sins and offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life to all who believe and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

4. The Power of Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer as a means of communication with God. We encourage daily prayer as a way to seek guidance, find peace, and experience the transformative power of God's presence in our lives.

5. The Importance of Community

We value the importance of community and believe in the strength that comes from worshiping, serving, and growing together. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals and families can build lasting relationships and support one another on their spiritual journey.

Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith serves as a guiding light for our church and reflects our beliefs and values. It outlines the central tenets of our faith and provides a foundation for our actions and ministry:

  1. We believe in the one true God – infinite, eternal, and perfect in love, wisdom, and power.
  2. We believe in Jesus Christ – the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who came to save humanity from sin and reconcile us to God.
  3. We believe in the Holy Spirit – the presence and power of God at work in the world, guiding, empowering, and transforming those who believe.
  4. We believe in the gift of salvation – granted freely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own deeds or merits.
  5. We believe in the church – the global community of believers united by their faith in Jesus Christ.
  6. We believe in baptism and communion – as sacred practices symbolizing our identification with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and our ongoing spiritual nourishment.
  7. We believe in the resurrection – the hope of eternal life in the presence of God for all who believe in Jesus Christ.

These core beliefs and our Statement of Faith guide our worship, teaching, and ministry at CityView Church Alvin. We invite you to join us and explore the depths of God's love and purpose for your life.
